Retrofit air heater to extend the range of electric vans
Range Plus from Webasto increases the range of electric vans with an efficient and robust heating system that protects the drive battery. In cold months, Range Plus ensures up to 35% more range. The retrofittable Air Top 2000 STC (2 kW) or Air Top Evo 40 (4 kW) air heater plus tank is ideal for electric vans used as minibuses, cabs, parcel transporters or technical vehicles. Diesel or environmentally friendly Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) is used as fuel.

Heating the interior reduces the range by up to 35 percent, even in electric vehicles of the latest generation.
Retrofitting the Range Plus system from Webasto - a fuel-operated air heater plus tank - significantly reduces the load on the electric vehicle's battery. It also ensures pleasant warmth in the interior even in cold outside temperatures.

Stadtwerke Filderstadt are converting the service vehicles used by their sales force to electric drive. To ensure that employees do not freeze in the cold months, but the vehicle battery still provides the necessary range, the Range Plus system from Webasto has been retrofitted.

The Range Plus system consists of an Air Top 2000 STC Diesel 12 V or an Air Top Evo 40 Diesel 12 V air heater plus a tank that has been adapted to the spatial conditions in the vehicle and holds 7 or 8 liters of fuel. This is sufficient for approx. 30 hours of heating time at full load.
