Sutton Coldfield

Webasto has produced sunroofs in Birmingham since the 1980s and since 1991 in our current location in Sutton Coldfield. Over the years we have produced roofs for a wide range of OEMs including: Rover, Daimler, BMW Mini, Nissan and Toyota but in the last 15 years we have focussed our production with JLR.
Our location
Located 10 miles north of Birmingham, the UK’s second city, we are centrally placed to service the UK automotive market.

Birmingham itself has a proud industrial heritage and is considered to be the heart of manufacturing in the UK. The city was known historically as the ‘city of a thousand trades’ producing metal work from guns to buttons and fastenings to jewellery, with trade assisted by one of the largest canal networks in Europe, second only to Amsterdam.
Today the city is still known for its manufacturing with JLR at the centre of local industry, but also has a thriving service sector. It is home to over 1 million ‘brummies’ and is truly a multi-cultural city with an ethnically diverse local population. The city is also proud to have 5 universities, 2 major football teams, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Birmingham Royal Ballet, many theatres and cultural attractions.
