Quiet, fast and efficient – Webasto shares new
engine-off heating and cooling technology for
commercial fleets

Montreal - January 28, 2025 – Webasto, a global leader in commercial vehicle heating and cooling systems announces two new products – the Air Top Pro 25 air heater and the Cool Split 20 Evo air conditioning system. These products will make their debut at ExpoCam in Montreal, Quebec February 6-8 in the Wajax booth #326.

Air Top Pro 25 air heater:

The Air Top Pro 25 from Webasto heats the vehicle interior with a maximum of 8,500 BTU/h (2.5 kW). Ideal for a range of commercial vehicle applications, this system rapidly heats interiors to a comfortable temperature while maintaining low noise levels and minimal fuel consumption. Once the set temperature is achieved, the system transitions to a low partial load level, reducing fuel usage further and ensuring consistent, quiet operation. The heater’s advanced brushless motor and variable load functionality ensure precise temperature control and extended service life.

Designed for flexibility, the Air Top Pro 25 supports multiple fuels, including diesel, gasoline, and HVO. It also features automatic altitude adjustment, ensuring optimal performance in varying elevations. The system integrates seamlessly with existing vehicle systems through advanced protocols such as LIN, and CI bus, ensuring compatibility and ease of use across various applications.

Cool Split 20 Evo air conditioning system:

The Cool Split 20 Evo is a reliable and efficient climate control solution for heavy-duty trucks. Powered by a 12V supply and equipped with a built-in DC converter and 48V variable-speed compressor, it seamlessly integrates with vehicles to deliver consistent cooling performance. With cooling capabilities of up to 6,800 BTU/hr (2.0 kW), the system ensures precise temperature control and comfort during engine-off operation.

The system’s compact, lightweight design features a UV-protected rear-mounted condenser and an interior cabin wall evaporator, designed for easy and flexible installation. This setup enables seamless integration into a variety of truck configurations without compromising chassis space. The evaporator includes two adjustable, closable vents, that allow users to manage airflow with precision. Additionally, the system operates with low noise levels, maintaining a comfortable and quiet cabin environment.

“Webasto’s Air Top Pro 25 and Cool Split 20 Evo showcase our dedication to innovative, easy-to-install solutions that enhance driver comfort and reduce environmental impact,” said Marco Arienta, President of Webasto Thermo & Comfort NA, Inc and Head of Business Area Electrification Americas. “As a trusted global supplier, we’re proud to offer products supported with world-class service and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.”
