Parking heaters and wallboxes:
Webasto is number 1
Readers of three German auto magazines give first place to heaters and – for the first time – charging stations from Webasto.
Gilching – April 26, 2022 – In this year’s surveys conducted by the magazines Auto Bild, auto motor und sport and Auto Zeitung, over 150,000 participants voted for Webasto as the best parking heater brand. The company has now won the “triple” for the sixth consecutive time. Two of the magazines also surveyed readers for the first time on the best electric car charging station providers. And the company from Stockdorf won this category, too.
“This outstanding result means that we have not only managed to retain our position as market leader in our core business, but are also satisfying customers with our new e-mobility solutions,” comments Heike Niehues, Executive Vice President Webasto Customized Solutions. This is because the German automotive supplier also manufactures so-called wallboxes for safe charging, as well as the parking heaters for which “Webasto” almost has become a synonym. The product range also includes batteries for electric vehicles – from cars through to airport shuttles.
Each year, the three auto magazines survey their readers to find the best brands around Germans’ favorite means of transport. When casting their votes, they take quality, design and innovation into consideration. Compared to last year, Webasto was able to maintain its results for parking heaters at the same high level – and even slightly increase them up to 83.9 percent (Auto Bild). Charging stations – for which there are considerably more suppliers – took first place by up to 48.4 percent of votes (auto motor und sport) respectively.
Parking heaters warm the engine and interior of cars and motorhomes before commencing the journey, thereby ensuring safety and comfort right from the outset. Tedious ice scraping is eliminated, yet the windows are clear all-round. With a home charging station, you can quickly and safely “tank up” your e-car with electricity. Smart charging stations, like the Webasto Next, communicate via the Internet – allowing them to be controlled and maintained remotely – and also with other devices, like photovoltaic systems.
