Dr.-Ing. Wolfgang Ziebart resigns from the committee after a regular term of office of five years. Andreas Schmitz takes over.

Andreas Schmitz is the new Deputy Chairman
of the Supervisory Board of Webasto SE

Stockdorf – July 31, 2024 – The Annual General Meeting of Webasto SE elected Andreas Schmitz as a new member of the Supervisory Board at the end of July; the Supervisory Board subsequently appointed him Deputy Chairman of the Board. Schmitz succeeds Dr.-Ing. Wolfgang Ziebart, whose regular term of office as a member and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board expired after around five years. Dr. Rolf Bulander, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed his sincere thanks to Ziebart for his commitment and the appreciative and constructive cooperation in times of the transformation of the Webasto Group.

 

In Andreas Schmitz, the automotive supplier has gained a highly experienced financial expert with proven knowledge of risk management and all aspects of corporate governance for its Supervisory Board. The banker and lawyer is managing partner of AS Board & Beteiligungs Consulting GmbH and worked for the financial institution HSBC in various specialist and management positions for more than 30 years. Most recently, he was Spokesman of the Management Board from 2004 to 2015 and from June 2015 to December 2020 Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt AG. Moreover, he holds various supervisory and advisory board positions, for example at E.ON SE, and several honorary mandates, including President of the Düsseldorf Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

 

Following the election of Andreas Schmitz to the Supervisory Board of Webasto SE, it is composed as follows: Dr. Rolf Bulander (Chairman), Andreas Schmitz (Deputy Chairman), Werner Baier, Mirco Eschrich, Dr. Rainer Kallenbach, Gerhard Mey, Stefanie Möbius, Petra Scharner-Wolff and Maximilian Zimmermann.
