Wörth-Schaidt

Schaidt's unique location, right on the German-French border, gives it its special character. The location south of the Pfalz is like an Italian town due to its many small wine-growing villages and vineyards and is therefore also known as "German Tuscany".

The local district of Wörth-Schaidt

Schaidt is a district of the town of Wörth am Rhein in Rheinland-Pfalz in the district of Germersheim. It lies on the western edge of the Bienwald forest and used to be the center of the Pfalz basketry industry. From here, numerous hiking and cycling trails lead into seemingly untouched nature, along the Rhein, into the Pfälzerwald or to larger towns with a remarkable cultural offering.

Founded in 1970, the Webasto plant in Schaidt has been used for electronics production for many years. The 12,000 m2 site offers sufficient space for the production of hardware for electronic control units (ECUs) and the associated software.

 

Hard and software are both essential for intelligent vehicles and are an important component of our products in all business areas. Therefore, the Webasto Competence Center (COC) for electronics production is located in Schaidt.
