Customer & product-related goals
Following the definition and implementation of recyclability criteria in accordance with ISO 22628 and EU Directive 2000/53, and the development of initial CO2 reduction targets for specific products, the Group's commitment to sustainable mobility is currently reflected in its work on the following targets related to its product portfolio:

In the area of purchasing the mission is to achieve cost efficiency, reliable quality and timely delivery over the entire supply chain.
The company particulary strives to build a sustainable and ethical supply chain and establish clear social and environmental responsibility requirements for suppliers.

Purchasing & supply chain goals
Having successfully implemented the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act in line with legal requirements and developed an initial concept for an integrated ESG risk management approach, the company is now integrating this into its risk management system as a standardized process. In the area of purchasing and supply chain, the company's current focus is on ensuring that procurement decisions take sustainability criteria into account.

Webasto is convinced that the strong demand for its products will continue in view of the accelerating trend towards alternative drive technologies.
On the other hand, manufacturing the products and carrying out business operations are undeniably resource and energy intensive. Therefore, Webasto production sites and own operations have a substantial environmental impact. Aware of this Webasto is prepared to take responsibility for it.

Climate & environment goals
Webasto continues to work on its robust transition roadmap to put the CO2 emission targets for scope 1, 2 and 3 upstream emissions into action. Improvements in data quality and transparency, the global management of material environmental figures and clear roles and responsibilities support continuous data improvement and reliability as a basis for effective action.
*All carbon reduction targets are in line with the SBTi framework and refer to the base year 2021.
Ratings & rankings
Sustainability ratings such as CDP or EcoVadis are a first point of reference when it comes to selecting partners for projects. Webasto presents its sustainability performance comprehensively and transparently in its sustainability report. Knowing that future challenges require joint and targeted efforts, Webasto is committed to ratings that enable an independent comparison of sustainability performance.
